Moorland Community Care
This charity offers a wide a range of help, including in-person, wellbeing support. They offer a programme for people aged 55 years and over, and work with people to improve wellbeing and boost confidence and reduce isolation. Their volunteers can also help with shopping, transport and collecting medication if needed as well as a befriending service. MCC also offers personalised support and advice to people with memory problems or dementia and their carers across Bovey Tracey and surrounding villages. The Bovey Shed
A locally organised community shed which shares tools and skills in Bovey Tracey, an ideal group for those who feel isolated or want to become more involved within the local community. Open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9:00am until 4:00pm. They are based at Unit 5/6 Rear of the Dolphin Hotel, Station Road, Bovey Tracey, TQ13 9BQ. Bovey Tracey Activity Trust (BTAT)
BTAT is a charitable trust run entirely by volunteers. Membership is open to those aged 55+ living within a 5-mile radius of the centre of Bovey Tracey. Its aim is to encourage those approaching retirement or already retired to continue to enjoy a physically and mentally active lifestyle by participating in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor educational, recreational and social activities.
