Consent to share your medical records
The Clinician you see will require access to your medical history in your records. When you book your appointment, you will be asked to consent to the sharing of your medical records. When you give consent, the only person who will be able to see your records is the Clinician at your appointment. Your consent will be valid for just 28 days from your appointment date.
If you do not wish to share your medical records, then unfortunately the weekday and weekend appointment service will not be suitable for you.
Out Of Hours
If you need the services of a doctor in an emergency outside normal hours, you can telephone the usual surgery number (Riverside 01626 832666 or Tower House 01626 852379) and listen to a recorded message giving you an emergency number to ring.
Alternatively, you can telephone NHS 111 by dialling 111. This call will be answered by an experienced operator who will take full details of your problem. Please note that your telephone call will be recorded. A doctor will then telephone you back and discuss the problem with you. If you need to be seen by a doctor and are not too ill to travel, you will be asked to attend one of the local emergency centres. If, because of your medical condition, you are too unwell to travel, a doctor will visit you at home.
Heath information and advice can be obtained by dialling 111. NHS 111 is the new free of charge telephone number for non-emergency health advice in Devon.
Please do not telephone out of hours for non-urgent routine matters.
