GP Net Earnings 2021/22
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean net earnings (e.g average pay) for GP’s working to deliver NHS Services to patients at each Practice.
The average earnings for GPs working at The Bovey Tracey & Chudleigh Practice in the latest financial year was £51,141 before tax and national insurance. This is for 6 full-time GPs and 11 part-time GPs. We have also had 6 locums working in the practice for six months or over.
It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the Practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor make any comparison with any other Practice.
